To redesign sites for BBC DJs. Chris Moyles, Chris Evans and Simon Mayo, bringing the programme information in line with the rest of the DJs brands by improving the visual appearance of the radio sites and enhancing their visual identity. The sites also had to be fully integrated with the BBC's Automated Programme Support System which dynamically generates programme show content from back-end databases.
With very tight timescales, we worked with the shows teams to design fresh and appealing websites that reflect the individuality of the DJs. Collective delivered the design and code for the dynamic and static show pages, together with the design assets for mobile and other interactive services. These include widgets and promos for a range of BBC sites, iPlayer & podcasts. We commissioned illustrations from Celyn Brazier and 'I Love Dust' for the Chris Evans and Simon Mayo sites to complement the personalities of the DJs.
